Camp Cabin leader Summer of 2015.
My first encounter with camp was in the summer of 2015 when I joined the team as a cabin leader. Every day of that summer taught me just how deep the impact of camp magic has on campers and staff. Kids learned vital outdoor skills, forged lifelong friendships, pushed beyond their comfort zones, cultivated their curiosity, and created lasting memories.
I have not come across another environment where our future generation of youth has the right to explore and grow without having to conform to societal norms. Preserving and extending camp magic will forever be part of my lifelong ambitions.
