Lake Wenatchee Y Camp holds a very special place in my heart and in my family’s story. As a camp nurse from 2013–2025, a family camper, and a parent who sent my children to camp for five years, I have experienced the deep sense of belonging this camp creates. It is a place where strangers quickly become community, where young adults are mentored and encouraged, and where lifelong relationships take root. Some of my most treasured memories are found in the simple, unforgettable moments of camp life: laughter shared freely with staff, days spent at the waterfront, silly skits, perfect fireside s’mores, and the honest tears that come around a campfire. Those experiences have shaped me, and they now motivate me to serve by helping preserve the legacy of this truly magical place so future campers, families, and staff can experience the same camp magic that has meant so much to me.
