John was Waterfront Director and a Camp Counsellor from 1997-2000 at Lake Wenatchee YMCA Camp. He was voted inaugural Leader of the Year along with fellow counsellor Chris “Nails” Sparks in 1997.
John’s professional background is in media and communications and leadership. He was a journalist at the Australian Broadcasting Corporation before heading up communications functions at major private, public and not for profits around the world. Born in Kenya, he grew up in Australia, has lived and worked in Malaysia and is now based in the UK with his wife and two teenage sons.
